Seku N. Shabazz is the Founder and President of Great Lakes Family of Companies, LLC, the Managing Member of Great Lakes Securities LLC., a Registered Investment Advisor with Great Lakes Retirement Planning, LLC., and the President of Great Lakes Mortgage LLC.
Seku graduated from Hiram College in 2000 with academic honors. He enjoys bicycling, physical exercise, boating, vegan cooking, wine tastings, and reading classical literature. He has one son, two brothers, two nieces, and several close relatives. He also donates the majority of his philanthropy and free time to Breakthrough Public Schools of which he is on the Board of Directors. Breakthrough Public Schools is part of the portfolio of schools for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The schools specialize in Inner-City education for families that are in severe poverty. The mission is to provide a warm, safe, and dry atmosphere that allows a great education to be given to everyone who lives in the City of Cleveland.
